135 CITIES COMING to DC on OCT. 25! 2003-10-18, 4:39 p.m. SATURDAY, OCTOBER 25 National March on Washington DC *End the occupation of Iraq! *Bring the troops home now! *Money for Jobs, Education, Housing - Not War! *Fight Back Against the Patriot Act! The Bush administration's pro-war and anti-people program is galvanizing wider and wider opposition throughout the country. On October 25 this growing opposition will see its most dramatic manifestation since the huge anti-war protests of last winter and spring. If you are outraged with Bush's lies, arrogance, and criminal conduct, join the tens of thousands of people are planning to come to Washington, D.C. on Saturday October 25 for a massive demonstration against the Bush program, the occupation and ongoing war in Iraq, and the Ashcroft assault on the Bill of Rights. We will meet at the Washington Monument at 11 am and to the White House and the Justice Department. The A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition thanks the thousands of volunteers across the country who are working to make this demonstration a success. We are excited to announce that there are now more than 135 cities in 38 states and Canada that are organizing buses, vans and car caravans to be at the October 25 demonstration. In many cities we also have multiple bus pick-up locations around the area -- around New York City there are locations throughout Manhattan, the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and Jersey City (see below for specific New York City bus location details). Buses will depart at 6 am on Saturday, October 25 from: MANHATTAN BROOKLYN QUEENS JERSEY CITY, NJ LONG ISLAND PURCHASING BUS TICKETS (NYC): To ride on a chartered bus, you need to purchase your bus ticket in advance. Bus tickets will not be available for sale at the buses Saturday morning. Round-trip tickets are $35 ($30 for low income and $20 for students with ID).
