You tell them what topics interest you. They send you letters on those topics - if you reply with an OK, they then send emails under your name to your representatives and other related leaders. The letters are submitted by political groups or individuals on a wide variety of campaigns, and they never send a letter in your name without your specific consent. No, it's not as effective as writing your own letter on every issue, but it sure beats doing nothing. Conservatives send far more emails and letters than progressives in general, so this is a great way of adding to the number of progressive voices contacting our senators and congresspeople.
