Make your government hear you
2002-04-03, 12:37 a.m.

Are you an American? Pissed off about something? Dont just sit there.

Voice your opinions. Be heard, and you never know - someone might just listen. Out of many, one. Take the time to contact your elected officials, whether it be about foreign policy, civil liberties, the environment, or have a pothole thats been there for 6 years. Say it. If you dont tell them, they will never know.

And its so easy.

Sites like Congress.org do it for you. You type in your zipcode, it gives you the names of the elected officials in our government that represent you. Type your letter, fill in a couple of fields, and hit send. You can reach the President, VP, members of the Congress and House of Representatives, Governors, and even local officials.

Be heard. Do something. Its so very, very, easy.

(and fun too)

"Let us rise up tonight with a greater readiness. Let us stand with a greater determination. And let us move on in these powerful days, these days of challenge to make America what it ought to be. We have an opportunity to make America a better nation." - Martin Luther King, Jr.
